St Mary's, Hanley Castle, Worcs.. 1858
There is a small reference to this church shown below, but within the church the only stone carvings now visible are the reredos. It is likely that these were designed by G.E Street the architect of the renovation of St Mary's. What exactly William carved here is debatable but his 'style' is seen in the more detailed carvings

HANLEY CASTLE.
RESTORATION OF THE PARISH CHURCH. – The ancient church at Hanley castle, in this county, has been for some time past undergoing restoration,
and the works are now in so forward a state that it is intended to reopen it for public worship on Sunday next.
The whole of the restorations are at the cost of Sir E. A. H. Lechmere. Mr. Street, of London, is the architect. The screens, stalls, pulpit, and roofs, and the masonry, are by Mr. John Griffiths, of Elderfield; the wood carving by Mr. Chapman, of Oxford; and the stone carving by Mr. Forsyth, of Worcester.
