The Worcestershire Chronicle reports “ Yesterday afternoon, the new buildings which have been erected as an enlargement of the premises of the Worcester Co-operative and Industrial Society, in St Nicholas street, were formally opened….The buildings have been erected in the most satisfactory manner by Messrs Joseph Wood and Sons, Messrs Dennett and Ingle provided the constructional ironwork, and laid the fireproof arching. The carving was entrusted to Mr. W. Forsyth “
