The Sussex Agricultural Express reports “ A new pulpit has just been erected in the church, of Caen stone, marble, alabaster and mosaic work…..it is a most unique, model design, rich and chaste in all its detail and is another standing monument of the architectural taste of S.S. Teulon esq, of London. The superior workmanship reflects great credit upon Mr. Forsyth, the sculptor, of Lansdowne yard, Russell Square, London “
A substantial re-ordering of the church took place in 2008/9 which saw the pulpit removed
