Pulpit at St Bartholomew's, Grimley, Worcs  1886

 " Saturday 22.05.1886 p5 Worcestershire Chronicle

THE RE-OPENING OF GRIMLEY CHURCH AFTER RESTORATION

On Thursday morning there was a restoration service in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Grimley, Worcester.
...
...and a handsome pulpit, the work of Mr. Forsyth, of Worcester, and the gift of Mr. T. G. Hyde, occupies the place of the old oak frame one. On the face of it are the heads of St. Bartholomew and the four evangelists.
...
The pulpit was a gift, and had been made by Mr. Forsyth ; and though they thought a railing desirable they felt they could not interfere with it.
"

Obviously, a railing was later added
