The Eddowes Journal reports “The old church was last used in April 1858 and the present structure is the work of Mr. Yates, of Shifnal, the contractor, the architect being Mr. George Edmund Street. The stone carving was executed by Mr. Pearce, of London, and the wood carving by Mr. Forsyth, London “
